Video Information Highway Edge Client

The Video Information Highway (VIH) Edge Client has been developed by the UK Highways Agency (HA). Its purpose is to provide HA stakeholders and third party organisations with access to medium quality highways CCTV images over a broadband internet connection.

The VIH Edge Client provides differing levels of service based on user requirements, from non-blanked (safe images) selected cameras, to basic camera control and access to most levels of blanking.

The VIH Edge Client is aimed at organisations and services (media, travel, local event arenas) who have a need in understanding current road traffic conditions in there area.
